TechUtility.io is built on the principle of minimal data collection. We do NOT collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Account credentials or passwords you input into our tools
• Files or documents you process using our tools
• Text, images, or any other content you work with
• IP addresses for tracking purposes
• Browsing history or tool usage patterns
• Device fingerprints or unique identifiers

All tools on TechUtility.io are designed to run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. This is called "client-side processing" and means:

• Your data is processed locally on your device
• No data is sent to our servers for processing
• Tools work even when you're offline (after initial page load)
• Your sensitive information never leaves your computer

Exception: Some tools require external API calls for functionality that cannot be performed locally (e.g., IP geolocation, DNS lookups). In these cases:

• Only the minimum required data is sent (e.g., an IP address for geolocation)
• We use reputable, free public APIs
• These tools are clearly marked when external calls are made
• No personal or identifying information is transmitted

TechUtility.io uses your browser's localStorage to store:

• Theme preference: Light/dark mode setting
• Favorite tools: Tools you've marked as favorites
• Recent tools: Recently used tools for quick access
• Tool settings: Your preferences for individual tools

This data is stored only in your browser and is never sent to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or using your browser's "Clear Site Data" feature.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies.

Some tools use third-party APIs for specific functionality:

• IP Geolocation: Uses public APIs to look up IP address locations
• DNS Lookups: Uses Google DNS and Cloudflare DNS over HTTPS
• Password Breach Check: Uses Have I Been Pwned API with k-anonymity
• MAC Vendor Lookup: Fetches OUI database from public sources
• WHOIS/RDAP: Queries public RDAP servers for domain information
